Learn about our mission, vision, and the journey that started it all
Nana Abena Adomah is the visionary behind the Adomah Kidney Care Foundation Inc. in Ghana, which she founded after overcoming her own decade-long battle with kidney disease. Her personal journey — from dialysis patient to transplant recipient to foundation founder — is a testament to resilience and the profound impact of compassion.
Her extensive experience with dialysis treatment and a successful kidney transplant gave her a deep, firsthand understanding of the physical, emotional, and financial toll that kidney disease takes on patients and their families. This knowledge drives every aspect of the foundation's work.
With a deep passion for making a difference, Nana Abena channels her experience into a mission of hope: providing financial aid to kidney patients who cannot afford dialysis, raising awareness about kidney health through education, and advocating for equitable access to healthcare across Ghana. She works tirelessly to ensure that more lives are saved through early detection, proper medical care, and financial support.
Nana Abena's leadership, compassion, and dedication have transformed the foundation into a beacon of hope for countless individuals and families. Her journey represents the experience of thousands of kidney disease patients in Ghana, and her success story demonstrates what is possible when patients receive the support they need.
